SBB, Inc provides design and manufacture services for large span self supporting cleanroom structures.

Our largest structure to date has been a 40ft floor to ceiling height isolator, 40ft long by 20ft wide, class 100 Fed Std 209E performance WITH an operating walking beam crane integrated by SBB into the superstructure of the isolator. This system included safety cage ladder access to equipment service catwalks. All mechanical equipment was self-contained on the superstructure. This system was designed to be a "pick and place" isolator within a large process bay at the end users facility. Structural attachment to grade was disallowed by design, and the unit was PE stamped and certified for performance in a seismic Zone 4 application. The overall unit was designed for single point rigging attachment for transport within the bay. All of the structure above is solely supported by four corner columns.

Typical techniques used by SBB to facilitate rapid site execution on such systems includes use of self contained rigging at the four corners of a structure like that above. We designed this to allow construction activity to occur at any vertical elevation. The truss structure can be raised or lowered on their support corners to allow such things as installing a 40ft high ceiling at 6ft off the floor.

All systems are fully engineered, solid modeled, FEA stress analyzed, and stamped as required per client contract. SBB will provide turnkey installations, supervise a clients installation trades, or drop ship materials.

Systems are each uniquely designed to the structural requirements of the application. No application is too large.
